The Pistol is a Secondary weapon, added in Pre-Release.
Combat[]
The Pistol is decent at close to mid-range combat, and effective at shooting down targets that are in the open or running away. It's also useful for suppressing enemies behind cover. Also, it shoots faster than the Magnum and Revolver, so it's good to use it if you don't have any automatic firearm. The Pistol will kill a full-health enemy in 13 bullets, so it is not a good idea to use this as your main weapon. Overall, the Pistol is a weapon that should only be used early in game and in last stand situations, and should be replaced with a more powerful weapon when possible.

- Pre-Alpha 1.2.1: Weapon removed from starting loadout, slightly increased spawn rate.

- Pre-Alpha 1.9.0: Accuracy made the same as that of the Revolver and Magnum.
